Amanda Cots Martínez

Amanda Cots (1992) is a director, cinematographer and photographer based in Spain. Graduated from EICTV (Cuba) in the specialty of direction of photography. As a cinematographer, she has collaborated on both fiction and documentary projects that have been selected in important film festivals such as San Sebastián, Visions du Reel or Biarritz. His work as a photographer has been part of Descubrimientos Photoespaña, MAPS within Getxophoto festival and has had a solo exhibition in La Cometa Gallery, Bogotá. As a director, she has co-directed with Angel Suarez the documentary short film ”Twilight dream” and the short film ”Futuro”.

Angel Suárez Avila

Angel Suarez (1990) is a Cuban filmmaker and editor. He graduated from the International Film and TV School of Cuba (EICTV), specializing in Montage. He has collaborated as an editor in films that have been selected in important film festivals such as Jihlava, Vancouver, Doxa, among others. His short film Twilight Dream co-directed with Amanda Cots was part of the TRANSFOCO section of the 12 Lanzarote Film Festival.

When the wind

Lisa María Velázquez Serrano

Lisa María Velázquez Serrano is a Cuban director, producer, editor and actress. She graduated from EICTV with a degree in Editing (2022). Graduated in Audiovisual Media Arts with a gold diploma from the University of Arts (2020) and graduated in Dramatic Arts (2015).
Her short films Mujer Arena, La piel del conejo, AZUL, Tan Lejos, Alef have obtained recognition in national and international festivals. She edited several award-winning short films that have toured festivals such as Clemont-Ferrand, Mar de Plata, Visions du Réel VdR, BAFICI, Festival Internacional de La Habana. She is currently developing her documentary project Dani Eliott which was selected for the Documentary Film Writing Workshop in Cuba by the DOCMONDE program and the FSPI. The project was part of the Doc Amazonia Caribe Co-production Meeting in Saint-Laurent du Maroni in French Guyana.
She is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Content and Formats at the University of Valencia. She works as a producer at GatoRosafilms.

Santos

Through self-inflicted physical pain he finds a way to assuage his guilt and sense of loss.

The other island

On a small island, Flor takes care of her father Basilio. At the dawn of what would be just another day in their lives, she discovers a diary that will allow her to travel to Basilio’s past, and learn for the first time the secret of the island.

Road work ahead

After a hard day at work, father and son go out. They haven’t lived together in a while so they need to catch up. But communication for the deaf son and his stubborn father is still a long road ahead.

Gabriel Alemán

Graduated in Audiovisual Communication. He has made several works as director, producer and photographer highlighting, “Tundra” (2021, short fiction film, selected in SUNDANCE, Curta Cinema, Locarno, Best Short Film Award at New York City Independent Film Festival 2022, Best Photography Award at International Film Festival of Merida and Yucatan), “La sed humana” ( 2017, short fiction film, 17th edition of the Muestra Joven ICAIC: Audience Award, best cinematography, best art direction and mention for best short fiction film. Best Fiction and Best Cinematography at Almacén de la Imagen 2018. Selected in 40th edition of Havana International Film Festival, World Cinema Amsterdam , Latino & Iberian Film Festival at Yale University), “Autómatas” (2016, short fiction film, Best Short Film at United Latino Film Festival in Cleveland, Honorable Mention at NAU Festival de Cinema e Artes de Expressao Ibérica de Portugal,Official Selection at Américas Film Festival in New York, Hendaia Film Festival in France, 12 Months Films Festival Los Angeles), “El Condor” (2016, Official Selection Los Angeles Cinefest, 16th edition of Muestra Joven ICAIC). He currently completed his short film “El espacio roto” and is part of the creative group Estudio ST.
