Rafael de Jesus Ramírez

Rafael Ramírez graduated in audiovisual communication from The University of Arts of Cuba and studied documentary at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV). He directed several short films such as Limbo (2016), Alona (2016) and Amundsen’s Dogs (2017). He conducted The Royal Bakunin Orchestra, an experimental jazz orchestra, and published numerous books, among them Threshold: An Anthology and Purple Traffic, a translation of Emily Dickinson’s poetry. He is currently working on his first feature film.
