Javier Pérez Ávila
Javier Perez is a Cuban DP based in New York State. His work has been screened at Sundance Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, World Cinema Amsterdam, Hollyshorts Film Festival, New York Latino Film Festival, Festival Biarritz Amérique Latine, London International Short Film Festival, LASA Film Festival, Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, among others. He has worked in several projects in New York City, including corporate and music videos, since 2017. Javier alternates basically among three roles: DP, Colorist, and Editor. He has been awarded twice at the “Muestra Joven Festival” in Havana as the Best Director of Photography. He also participated at “Talents Guadalajara” and “Collective Crew 1st Edition” in Mexico. Invited to talk at ITESO University of Guadalajara. Javier is very passionate about working with images, and his goal is to touch the inside of people creating good content.
