Idalmis García
Idalmis Garcia is a well-know Cuban actress living in New York City. Her films include ‘Los Dioses Rotos’ (Broken Gods) , ‘Conducta’(Behavior), Sergio y Serguei, directed by Ernesto Daranas. She is a popular Cuban television actress, having starred in the series: ‘Bajo el mismo sol’ and ‘Tras la huella’.She has an extensive experience in theater and she has worked with important companies as Punchdrunk (Sleep no more), Woodshed collective, el Ingenio, directed by Juan Carlos Cremata. Idalmis studied intensively over several years with Stephen Bayly at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión (EICTV), assisting Stephen in later years in his workshops. In February 2012, she formed an independent theatre group in Havana, called La Peña Meisner de la Habana (The Meisner Gang).
She co-produced ‘Blue Orange’, and played the role of Cristal, for which she was nominated as Best Actress for Cuba’s Premio Caricato Award.
