Lisa María Velázquez Serrano is a Cuban director, producer, editor and actress. She graduated from EICTV with a degree in Editing (2022). Graduated in Audiovisual Media Arts with a gold diploma from the University of Arts (2020) and graduated in Dramatic Arts (2015).
Her short films Mujer Arena, La piel del conejo, AZUL, Tan Lejos, Alef have obtained recognition in national and international festivals. She edited several award-winning short films that have toured festivals such as Clemont-Ferrand, Mar de Plata, Visions du Réel VdR, BAFICI, Festival Internacional de La Habana. She is currently developing her documentary project Dani Eliott which was selected for the Documentary Film Writing Workshop in Cuba by the DOCMONDE program and the FSPI. The project was part of the Doc Amazonia Caribe Co-production Meeting in Saint-Laurent du Maroni in French Guyana.
She is currently studying for a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Content and Formats at the University of Valencia. She works as a producer at GatoRosafilms.
